Rosie

A fiesty red dapple smooth dachshund. It's always playtime! It could be a hearty game of chase.......running full speed from one end of the house to the other end, just for the pure joy of a fast heartbeat. It could be rolling all over the floor to entice anyone...human or canine to engage in play.

oss something....a ball, a piece of rope, a sock, etc......and she's all over it, never skipping a beat. All toys are hers - or so she thinks! If one of the other dachshunds have a toy, she immediately conjures up a way to get it. She has many tactics, and always manages to get it. At first she'll try to just take it...if that doesn't work....she'll grab a different toy, and drop it next to the one she wants. If the other dachshund takes the bait and lets go of the toy then Rosie immediately jumps in front of both toys and lets out a warning growl to back off. If that doesn't work then she sprints outside, and lets out a couple of barks...the others are sure to come to check it out. Rosie then trots back inside, and the toy is all hers.

Rosie enjoys laying on the couch to watch a good movie, such as, Beethoven, Freewilly, and Gremlins. On occasion, she will pause to watch Animal Planet until she gets all hyped up. One day, not paying much attention, The Dog Whisperer came on- she sat in front of the television just watching intently. As soon as Planets Funniest Animals came on, she instantly got wound up - tracking the animals. All of a sudden a small rodent came on and she pounced right into the television trying to get it.

In her down time she could be found either next to the nearest lap, under a blanket or pillow chewing on one of "her" toys. When she's allowed to come into the bed, she finds her perfect spot under the blanket,  curled into a ball behind the knees of anyone laying on their side.
